The streetscape of Adelaide.
Sydney is Tokyo, Melbourne/Osaka, Adelaide/Kyoto, people say...
In this season, the city has a variety of festivals.
In parks, there will be playhouses, music festivals, film screenings...
Wish if we could do the same thing in Nara Park, and so my imagination got swollen.
Adelaide is just in the middle of summer.
Everyone here is warm and kind.
It's the climate of Adelaide.
On top of the hill in Adelaide, there is a wildlife park and lively koalas are living there. Wallabies and kangaroos are making themselves comfortable under eucalyptus trees.
Because people there have been trying to live together with kind care, they don't tend to attack people.
It's the same with the case of deer in Nara.
But we Nara people can learn from Australia in that they even don't enclose them with concrete walls.
Even a mother kangaroo (might be wallaby) with her baby inside the pocket comes close to human to get food. Very nice relationship.
But when I went to a mountain area, it was really scorching and I found some burn-out sites.
Nature has some dangerous sides, too, and they make me think of lots of things about coexisting with nature...
Australian wines are delicious.
Tastevin at a winery.
Tasting wine during the daytime in the fine weather is just like doing wash of your heart.
You can do the same thing in Nara at a winery or even at a liquor shop, and it's a nice thing for tourists, memorable experience.
I hope to visit here sometime again.
I feel like we are just one step away from our goal, that everything is tied and treated nicely.
For Nara people, you can learn so many things by thinking of Nara from outside of the country. It's very important to see things from the outside.
There are many things just like a "big fish in a little pond."
Over the Southern Ocean, there stands Antarctica...
Like this, the twinkling ocean spreads out.

The island is similar to Kakeroma in Amami area of Japan.
Though Kakeroma was suffering from nature destruction, under construction of many tunnels.
But this island is a national park and some roads are unpaved, so that the bus was running with flinging up dust.
Even in the sightseeing spots, all the bridges and stairs are wooden. So consistent.
I knew there are always things we can learn, here and there.

My son was watching the sea and islands in the Hanshin uniform.
Kanemoto bro...

Free-range owls and snipes are raised and fed here.
One owl came and got on my son's hand...
So amazing!
The tamer was also amazing...
The last days' warm weather has made the plum tree in our back yard bloom.
Soon after I felt the first day of spring, flowers started opening up one after another. And now, half of the blossoms are in bloom.
But, spring hasn't come to Nara yet.
We have to wait until Omizutori, the ritual of holy water, ends.
But, trees in woods and mountains started shooting out spring buds, and it brings me somewhat happy feelings.
Seems he shoots photos with my camera without my permission.
It goes like this.
Close-up shot of Gundum.
Mommy's bi
This is my original miso.
I managed to make it pretty well, so I'll make it again this year.
It's so fun to do hand-working.
We can make many things by hand, more than we think.
Moreover, making a ball of miso and throwing it into a barrel feel so good! Can't stop it.
Well, am I stressed out?
It's Setsubun, the Japanese traditional end of winter, today.
Having a hand-rolled sushi and we were quite full until next day.
Throwing beans and washing out demons.
My son was really scared out of my husband's disguising demon.
"Mammmyyy, help, help me out!"
Our house got messy for a moment.
When eating beans, as many as the number of his age, he was already smiling.
It brings me back my old memories.
