I went to a film festival. It's like Academy Award in Asia.
Most awards were granted to Japanese films.
The grand-prix and script award to Mr. Kurosawa Kiyoshi's "Tokyo Sonata."
The director award to Kr. Koreeda's "Still Walking."
The music award to Mr. Hisaishi Joe's "Ponyo."
The best actor award to Mokkun (Mr. Motoki Masahiro) in "Departures."
Due to the accident at the Narita Airport, all the guests did not walk on the red carpet; they rushed into the ceremony just thirty minutes before the award speech.
There is a film director whose name is Shimada Kakuei.
He is a lovable fool who devoted all his life to film and is my chief bodyguard.
You don't understand any of what I am talking about. Anyway, he was one of my students in my first year as a teacher at the School of Visual Arts Osaka and has been making films with passion even after graduation.
He's really passionate about producing films...
So diligent he is.
And I got a role of bar mistress who has a handicap in ears using sign language.
Good luck to your film, Director Kakuei!
