I focus on that which interests me

Kawase's first work, having encountered with an 8mm camera for the first time in her life. In the dignified frame, there appear objects which moved Kawase's feeling and thought.

Although those framed objects are uneventful and ordinary, Kawase says, "all the things were fresh discoveries for me, and I really enjoyed walking through the street."

"I focus on that which interests me" is not only the title of this work but Kawase's life-long motto for film directing.
